Orientation for Local Government Units on the Mandate and Functions of the Regional Development Council and NEDA. Government officials from both the city and province attended the presentation hosted by NEDA Region 6. PROTECTING OUR FISHERIES RESOURCE – a committee hearing conducted by the Committee on Environment on the apprehension of illegal fishermen within the territorial waters of Roxas City giving insights to SP members about the situation of our waters and how to improve vigilance against illegal fishing activities. The resource we protect today will give a better future for the next generations to come.

In line with this, he has made it known that he will be extending his scholarship program to accommodate deserving students of the Don Manuel Arnaldo Memorial School. The Induction Program, led by Ms. Suzette B. Falsis, Principal II, was held at the Green Mountain Resort Malocloc, Ivisan last August 21,2013. Mrs. Emma P. Pagdilao, Public Schools District Supervisor gave the Inspirational Message, while PTA President, Mrs. Josephine T. Delos Reyes and Mentors’ Club President Mr. Romulado A. Antioquia, Jr. graced the occasion through their response and parting words of appreciation.

August 16, 2013 at Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center KBP Capiz Chapter Sportsfest A moment of camaraderie and friendly competition of basketball among members of the Kapisanan ng mga Broadcasters sa Pilipinas(KBP) of Roxas City. Participating were ABS-CBN, Bombo Radyo Roxas, Radio Mindanao Network(DYVR), Intercontinental Broadcasting Corp.( DYJJ), and the Capiz Provincial Press Bureau. The event was graced by the Governor of Capiz, Gov. Vic Tanco, Vice Mayor Ronnie T. Dadivas of Roxas City and the managers of participating radio and television stations. The combined team of DYJJ and ABS-CBN took the trophy home.

7th Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Highlighting the session were: 1. Requests for reclassification of several lots as commercial properties. 2. Presentation on progress of construction of the Temporary Public Transport Terminal Site and reported by City Engineer Ambrosio as 70% completed. 3. Presentation of the proposed Sanitary Landfill at Barangay San Jose, Roxas City by Amphil Construction and Consultation Company.
In the 6th Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod this August 6, 2013 important measures were discussed and approved:
1.) 1st Indorsement dated 22 July 2013 of the City Mayor, forwarding Resolution No. 128 Series of 2013 of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Capiz, entitled, Resolution encouraging parents and entire school community to support full observance of DEPED Order No. 08, Series of 2007, in shielding our School children from unhealthy foods towards a healthier studentry in Capiz.
2.) 1stIndorsement dated 23 July 2013 of the City Budget Officer, submitting for review the Annual Budgets for FY-2013 of the following barangays:
CRAASCU Opening Parade of participating schools : Capiz State University, Capiz National High School, Tanque National High School, Dumulog National High School, Saint Mary's Academy of Capiz, St. John's College, Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion, Hercor College, Filamer Christian University.
