The I Plant advocacy of Vice Mayor Ronnie T. Dadivas was thought of as his way of contributing to softening the effects of climate change. This advocacy which was launched last September 24, 2011 was a twin pronged approach centering on the beautification of Arnaldo Boulevard and at the same time fostering more greenery to combat global warning.
Together with the studentry from five different schools in Roxas City, namely, Capiz State University Main and Dayao Campuses, College of St. John's La-Salle, Supervised Filamer Christian University and HERCOR College, about 400 students brought with them bougainvilleas to plant along the sides of the boulevard to signify their concern for the changing climate and affix their signatures to a pledge to take care of the environment for a better tomorrow.
