CIUDAD KO, TINLO-AN KO
"Ciudad Ko Tinlo-an Ko", advocacy program of the Roxas City government launched
The advocacy program of the City Government which aims to contribute to the cleanliness and beatification of the city was launched today June 2, 2014 at 7:30 in the morning at the Roxas City Plaza.
The activity was participated by numerous non government organizations, the Roxas City Government employees, civic clubs, government agencies, Army Reservist, and other volunteers. Governor Victor Tanco, Cong. Antonio del Rosario, City Councilors Cora Tiangco and Jose Agdalipe was also present to grace the occasion.
Simultaneous massive clean-up activity was held at five areas namely City Plaza and surrounding areas, Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center, San Roque Extension, Arnaldo Boulevard and Baybay Beach.
In his speech, the Acting Mayor, Vice Mayor Ronnie T. Dadivas, emphasized that the advocacy itself Ciudad ko, Tinlo-an ko speaks of love for our city and the presence of the volunteers who responded to his call will ensure the success of the advocacy.
Cleanliness and beautification is a major component of tourism that the city is trying to push forward.
Meeting the Vendors Associations of TATC
After the visit to TATC, Vice Mayor Dadivas, presently acting as mayor, holds a meeting with Vendors Associations and City Government Department Heads to thresh out the perennial problems and find solutions to said problems:
- traffic congestion due to loading/unloading of goods;
- dumping of goods for sale along the roadside;
- stocking of temporary stall facilities;
- cleanliness in and around the market;
- and ambulant vendors violating market rules. . . .
